      <image:title>Kindergarten</image:title>
<image:caption>CCCS trains our students to approach learning through this lens as they engage in the critical thinking process The Bible's Creation Fall, Redemption theme guides this process. In each area of study, students will ask, "What did God intend? How has it been broken by sin? How does God want us to respond?" Our Faith in Jesus Christ compels us to add the first layer of thought that does not exist in other schooling experiences. CCCS believes that when our students are trained to think critically as well as Christianly, they will become more than mere learners: leaders in our communities, equipped to promote change in a broken world.</image:caption>

<image:caption>In addition to a variety of enriching field trips, programs, and presentations that we bring to the school, we have offered opportunities such as outdoor education, clubs, leveraging the time and talents of our teaching staff, volunteer parents, and other outside experts. We continually seek ways to enrich student education through extracurricular activities. Our students (and teachers) work hard, and we always look for ways to have fun and celebrate our progress.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Bible is a major subject at CCCS. We use instructional materials from ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) for our Kindergarten program and Summit Ministries for grades 1-8, as well as The Holy Bible (NIV, various translations). The teaching staff instructs Bible four days per week. Mid-week, on Wednesday, all staff and students attend Chapel. Please feel free to join us anytime. Chapel starts at 8:30 am.</image:caption>

<image:caption>CCCS uses a combination of the Bible instruction and secular textbooks. The Board of Trustees is responsible for the evaluation of our textbooks and recommending changes that would enhance our curriculum and enable our students to higher academic achievement. In the presentation of Christian or secular text, the staff is skilled at presenting a Christian worldview.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Course of Study - Technology</image:title>
<image:caption>Our students utilize technology throughout each day. Their Chromebook and chrome tablets are available to every student in every class as needed. We are committed to preparing students to face the ever changing world of technology that they will encounter as they grow and mature. Therefore our teachers use google classroom at every grade level above kindergarten to train students how to use technology for collaboration. Other computer science disciplines include keyboarding, robotics and coding. One of our other technologies that we are very proud of is the addition of a HD Green Screen Studio where students are able to film announcements, better known here as the CCCS News, and create other fun projects.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Outside of their normal classroom work, the mission of Central College Christian School’s arts, sciences, and extracurriculars departments are to encourage our students to Glorify Jesus Christ through studio artwork, performing on the stage, and experiencing music in many new ways. CCCS aims to maintain high standards in studio art, multimedia art, theater, physical activity, and music education while developing the student as an individual performer, and giving them the tools they need for artistic expression and problem-solving at every turn and stage of their development.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Arts and Extracurriculars - Musical Arts</image:title>
<image:caption>Our goal in the music department is to provide opportunities for students to develop into young musicians by fostering a love of music, encouraging progress on their instrument(s), teaching for a better understanding of music theory and history, and creating a musical environment to worship through musical experiences. To achieve this goal, CCCS music provides a wide range of experiences and opportunities. General music classes, which include music theory and history, are offered to all classes to enhance the total musical experience through the use of Orff type instruments (xylophones), recorders, hand bells, and boomwhackers.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Art is one of the most extraordinary gifts God has given humanity to manifest His glory on Earth. While exercising their individual creativity, our students explore the principles and elements of the visual arts. They have opportunities to experiment with a wide range of materials, while learning about diverse artists throughout time. The program complements and enhances the academic curriculum. We know our value is not based on performance, but on God’s love. Therefore we can grow in courage and take risks, learning new skills with confidence. Class lessons are geared to target state standards for each grade level. The goal for physical education class is to be active, be kind and to have fun.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Enrichment - Enrichment and Intervention</image:title>
<image:caption>Learning at Central College Christian School is tactile and experienced through doing, which is why another Distinctive about CCCS is the bevy of events, gatherings, and goings-on around the campus throughout the year. Christianity is based in community, and there is no better way to learn and grow in Christian education than experiencing life to the fullest at any of our events throughout the year. Our Enrichment Program is to encourage talented children to take risks and excel academically. Identified children are encouraged to stretch for new learning in a safe, nurturing environment that treats mistakes as another way to learn. Our dedicated team of Intervention Specialists seek to help those students who need a little extra help. They deploy proven learning and behavioral strategies that ensure students achieve their full potential. We accept the Jon Peterson Special Needs Scholarship and the Autism Scholarship.</image:caption>

      <image:title>What Are Distinctives</image:title>
<image:caption>Parents seek out private, Christian education for the value and experiences that other schools cannot offer—something that Central College Christian School calls ‘Distinctives’. Programs, activities, learning moments, and enrichment that are the calling card and hallmark of CCCS. Our Distinctives are a promise to families that their child will experience life to its fullest while embraced by the teachings and educations of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, as part of them growing up in the Christian faith. Central College Christian School not only provides a rigorous academic curriculum, we offer programming that contributes to the education of the whole child. These educational building blocks are intentionally combined to make a Central College Christian School education unique among area schools.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Central College Christian School is dedicated to providing each of our students an education based on academic rigor immersed in Biblical Worldview. Our faculty strives to equip independent learners to successfully navigate a culture in which they ultimately will both glorify God and serve others. To that end, students attend weekly chapel services hosted by Central College Church pastors and worship/music leadership. Read below what our Senior Pastor, Dr. Rev. Malcolm Davis has to say about his experiences in leading weekly kid’s chapel.</image:caption>
